Waihi Lifecare is delighted to announce that its charming residential cottages are now available for those seeking a tranquil retirement lifestyle. The retirement village presents one and two-bedroom cottages set in a serene, rural backdrop. These cottages boast expansive lawns and stunning gardens for a Waihi slice of paradise for your golden years.

The cottage homes are freshly renovated to a high standard with modern amenities, ensuring residents enjoy privacy and community spirit. Situated in the heart of the Waihi region, known for its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant history, the village perfectly blends tranquillity in nature and cultural richness. The benefits of living in a retirement village like Waihi extend beyond the picturesque surroundings; it’s a community that provides safety, social engagement, and the convenience of care and support services with priority access to Waihi Lifecare Aged Care beds.

Co-director Helen Watson says she is excited at the prospect of new village residents joining the village, “We believe in creating a space that not only caters to the practical needs of our residents but also nourishes their souls. It’s about building a community where every need is met and every morning a welcome of the possibilities ahead.”

Waihi Lifecare Expansion: A Commitment to Enhanced Aged Care

In conjunction with the availability of new cottages, Waihi Lifecare is excited to unveil the imminent inauguration of a newly refurbished wing designed to accommodate an additional 11 aged-care residents. This expansion responds to the critical demand for more aged care hospitals, palliative care, and general practice beds within the local and surrounding communities.

Following a thorough provisional audit and with the green light from Te Whatu Ora, these new beds will significantly enhance the care capabilities of Waihi Lifecare residents.

Co-director Steven Wallace comments on the expansion, “The addition of these new beds represents our unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our community’s seniors. It’s more than just an expansion; it promises to provide compassionate quality care that our residents rightly deserve.”

Waihi Cottages and Waihi Lifecare are more than just a place to live; they are a haven where comfort meets care, where every resident is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. We invite you to explore the possibility of calling Waihi your new home.
