One of the differences between a good aged care facility and a great one is the nursing staff. An integral part of the fantastic Waihi Lifecare nursing team is Clinical Manager Frances Tait.

Having started as a nurse aid at the age of 16 in 1976, Frances worked her way through the ranks of enrolled nurse and then registered nurse before becoming a Clinical Manager. She spent 24 years living and working in Australia before taking up the position at Waihi Hospital in 2003.

As you may expect the name “Tait” has Scottish roots and Frances has embraced her Scottish heritage playing the bagpipes. She is known to regularly entertain family and residents alike.

Frances has built a nursing team with diversity of knowledge, experience and passion. With a total of five Registered Nurses supported by …. Care Givers, she is excited for the future as new training is put in place to up-skill the team.

Frances and her team of professionals consider the Waihi Lifecare residents and patients as their number one priority. They look forward to welcoming and caring for future permanent and respite residents to the facility.
